This is a portrait of my Granddaughter (aged 2). I was intrigued by the way this little girl could get completely absorbed in something that had taken her interest and stay so focused for long periods of time. It was as though time had temporarily stopped for her. She was also a very willing model for this piece being totally fascinated by the process. The twiddling with her hair was a typical characteristic at that time.
